Carl David Jewell Jr.

Mr. Carl David Jewell Jr., age 63, of Lebanon, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, November 4, 2024. Mr. Jewell was born in Louisville, KY on March 10, 1961 to the late Carl David Jewell Sr. and Helen Francis Underwood Jewell. He loved the Lord and attended Lighthouse Baptist Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Eastern Parkway Baptist Church where he was baptized. He was a member of UA Local 502 Plumber, Pipefitters & Service Techs. His life passions included playing with his grandchildren, playing basketball, fishing and watching every UK or Dallas Cowboys game. He was a beloved and treasured father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.

In addition to his parents, his son, Wesley Jacob “Jake” Jewell preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Melissa Jewell and Breanna McKinley (Jewell); grandchildren, Jason “Dean” Brewer Jr., John Dallas Woodcox, Bliss Jewell, Cameron Jewell, Delilah Jewell and Grayson McKinley; great-grandchild, Nova Rose Woodcox and one great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Deborah Allen, Dorothy Jordan, Phyllis Clemons and David Jewell; several nieces, nephews and a host of other dear family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 11:00 am until the time of his service at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
