Carl "Mike" Edwards

Mr. Carl “Mike” Edwards, age 98, of Fairdale, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was born on Saturday, April 26, 1924 to the late Charles and Ruth Colvin Edwards. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Edwards; along with 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army and a Baptist by faith. Carl enjoyed mowing grass, watching Kentucky ballgames and was an avid sports fan. He could fix anything and loved to help others. He was truly one of a kind.   

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Russell Edwards (Diane) and Carol Clark (Steve); his grandchildren, Dana Hicks (David), Jeff Edwards (Coleen), Michael Clark and Karen Swift; his great grandchildren, Alicia, Bryce, Dalton, Dailey, Tyler and Mya; his sister, Maeola McGaha; a close family friend, Carol Mullins; along with a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 12pm on Friday, August 5, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2pm until 8 pm and Friday 10am until time of service.
