Mrs. Carolyn Edith Marshall, age 82, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Mrs. Marshall was born in Princeton, West Virginia on July 14, 1943 and she was a member of Foundation of Life.
She was a homemaker in the truest sense—a true home engineer whose love held everything together. A gentle, warm soul, she gave freely of herself, sharing love, wisdom, and strong values with all who crossed her path. She was a sweetheart of a woman, she was endlessly sharing strong values learned from her mother and grandmother, and an abundance of love to everyone around her. She served her community with a generous heart, trimming the hair of boys in the neighborhood, and graciously hosting friends and visitors; she would make space for them and gladly share whatever food she had. She was a beloved wife, mother and “Nanny Heart”.
Among those who preceded her in death are, her mother, Santina Marangoni; sister, Patricia Yopp; brother, Luther “Shot” Yopp and her grandmother, Mary Marangoni.
She leaves to cherish her memory. Her husband, Andy B. Marshall; children, Richard Watson, Randy Watson, Ronald “Ronnie” Watson (Renee) and Gregory “Greg” Watson (Margaret); grandchildren, Jeremy, Daniel (Ashley), Matthew (Brooklyn), Adam, Megan (Mike) and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Layla, Evelyn, Rhys, Sofia, Audriana and Lily; step-children, Andrew Marshall, James Marshall and Jennifer Risinger (Brandon); step-grandchildren, Jason Marshall, Hannah Marshall, Austin Risinger and Brenon Risinger; step-great-grandchild, Kinsley and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 16, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of her service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
