

Mr. Charles “Charlie” William Case, Jr., age 74, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Charlie was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky on August 2, 1949, to the late Charles William Case, Sr., and Annie (Loyall) Case. He was one of eight children, and he truly loved his brothers and sisters, he often shared stories and fond memories of them all. Charlie retired from the Pest Control Industry after about 18 years of work, and he continued with his lifelong love of playing music. He liked the Beatles, and he played their music on his guitars, he also was in a band called the Lincolnaires Gospel Group in the 1970’s, he traveled all over the country with different bands playing bass guitar and piano, he even had a guitar shop once called “Charlie Case’s Guitar Shop” where he would also give lessons. Charlie is known for his great story telling, being a great baker and cook, and most of all he will be remembered as an awesome husband, dad, and grandfather. He was a true fighter. He went through many trials and tribulations with many surgeries over the years and always persevered. Charlie fought to the end. He will be truly missed by his family, and friends.
Among those who preceded him in death are his parents, and his sister Debbie Sue Ballew.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 56 years Brenda (Schafer) Case, son Charles William Case III (Sheryl), his daughter, Tammy Hubbuch (Timmy), grandchildren Brittany Abney, Billy Case, Emily Valentine (Taylor), Lily Hubbuch, great-grandchildren Elizabeth Abney, Gabriella Abney, brothers Tommy Case (Wanda), Jimmie Case (Karen), Donnie Case (Joan), Garry Case (Debbie), Larry Case (Monica), and sister Kathy Bevins (Allen), along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends, and Charlie's fur baby Daisy.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, November 30, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his service at 2:00 p.m.
