Clara Marie Sanders

Mrs. Clara Marie Sanders, age 84, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Mrs. Sanders was born in Louisville, KY on September 29, 1936 to the late Clarence Andrew Keller and Mary Josephine “Whitaker” Keller. Mrs. Sanders worked most of her life the last job at Westminster Terrace, in the Dietary Department. She belonged to Blue Lick United Baptist Church for over 60 years as a faithful member. She loved nature, flowers, birds, knitting, cooking and her family was her world.

Her husband Charles Sanders of 62 years preceded her in death on January 9, 2021.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Buck Keller, James Keller, and Ollie Keller; 1 sister, Iris Dittus.

She leaves to cherish her memory, 1 sister, Thelma Gnagie (Bill); 1 brother, John Keller (June); daughters, Sandi Boggs, Kathy Duvall (Corky), Carolyn Sanders, and Tammy Johanboeke (Alan); 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 1: 00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Blue Lick United Baptist Church (4271 East Blue Lick Road Louisville, KY 40229) with burial to follow at Lone Hill United Baptist Church Cemetery (5410 Mount Washington Road Louisville, KY 40229).
