

Mr. Clarence "Bill" Puckett, age 90, of the South End, returned to his Heavenly Father Thursday, July 7, 2016. Mr. and Mrs. Puckett owned and operated the Freeway Station on Taylor Blvd. from 1967 to 1992, where he sold gasoline for as low as $.19 per gallon, serving hundreds of customers throughout the years. He was an Army veteran of WW II and a member of Parkwood Baptist Church.
Among those who preceded him in death include, parents, Foster and Reedye; brothers, James, Carl and Kenneth.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 69 ½ years, Edwinna; children, Karen, Brenda, Terry (Sharon) and Patricia; grandchildren, Amy, Leigh, Rhonda, Ashleigh, Casey and Willie; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christopher, Olivia, Morgan, Joshua, Mandy, Molly, Macey, Laney, and Maddie; sister, Irene Moser.
Funeral service will be conducted 12 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends may pay their respects Sunday afternoon 2-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to Parkwood Baptist Church, Robley Rex VA Hospice Unit, or the charity of your choice.
