Mr. Dalyn Royce Hester, age 62, of Brooks, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Mr. Hester was born in Louisville, KY on October 14, 1963 to the late Ben Hester, Jr. and Elnora Wilcoxen Hester. He was a devoted member of Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church and retired from WIT Transmission Parts in the Research and Development Dept. He was a beloved father and brother.
In addition to his parents, his loving wife, Penny Davis Hester and his sister, Brenda Arnold preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Andrew Hester and Sarah Hester; siblings, Kenny Hester (Carol), Barbara Aldrich (Robert), Dalorse Pennington, Mike Hester (Vickie) and Neil Hester (Lisa) and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, February 4 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 5 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
