Daniel Ray Hester

Daniel Ray Hester, age 86, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 24, 2023.   He was born in Jefferson County, KY on August 13, 1937, to the late Benjamin Franklin Hester and Myrtle Velva Childress Hester.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers.

He was retired from International Harvester and was a member of the Blue Lick United Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Dorothy Virginia Brewer Hester; a son, Marlan Hester; two sisters, Myrtle Tomes and Wanda Probus a host of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 29, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
