Danny Ray Johnson

State Representative Dan Johnson, age 57, of Mount Washington returned to his Heavenly Father on December 13, 2017. Mr. Johnson was an evangelist since he was 17 years old and especially enjoyed working with inner-city ministries. He started Heart of Fire Evangelical Church in 1994. Mr. Johnson represented Bullitt County as a state representative. Among those that preceded him in death include his grandparents, Rush and LuraMae Johnson; grandfather, Jesse Blocker; and father-in-law, Edwin Lou Wilson. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 31 years, Rebecca Wilson Johnson; children, Boaz Rush Johnson, Danielle Clay (Scott), Judah Johnson (Casey), Sarah Johnson (Kyle Worner) and Jodi Rayborn (Brian); grandchildren, Levi Jewell, Elijah Lew, Arabella and two on the way; parents, Jerry and Charlene Blocker Johnson; sisters, Treasa Barrett (James) and Rita Stuckey (Jerry); to all those that recognized him as a father; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Heart of Fire Church (5101 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40291) with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday and Sunday from 2-8 pm at the church. Arrangements made by Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home Mt.
