Darrell Bishop, age 55, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. He was born on Tuesday, June 22, 1971, in New Tazwell, Tennessee to Jim and Marie Bishop. He was a Christian by faith and a member of North Bullitt Christian Church.
Darrell was preceded in death by his loving wife Rhonda Ann Downs.
He leaves behind his son James Bishop, his parents Jim and Marie Bishop; his sisters, Elizabeth Clark and Sherry O’Brien (Ray); his mother-in-law, Janice Downs along with a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 5 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 N. Preston Hwy in Shepherdsville with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 11am until the time of service at 5 pm.
