David Louis Allgeier

Mr. David Louis Allgeier, 73, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 with his brother by his side. David was a graduate of DeSales High School and the University of Kentucky, an Army veteran and a self-employed CPA. He was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and the New York Yankees and enjoyed watching them win. David was as unique as his spoken words with a big heart, quick wit and a contagious laugh. Others could not help but be happy when he was around. He loved his family fiercely and was very proud of them; he would brag about his son and grandsons often. Also, affectionately known as “Uncle Dave”, he loved to travel with his brother and nephews and attend gatherings hosted by his sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Mary Clay Allgeier; two sisters Bobbie Kmecak and Patty Breckel; and brother-in-law Louie Breckel.

He is survived and dearly missed by his son, John Allgeier; two grandsons, Collin and Clayton; a sister Cheryl Thomas (Jack); a brother Jimmy Allgeier; brother-in-law Ron Kmecak; nephew and close friend, David Pete; and his other beloved nine nephews and one niece.
