David Duncan Back

Mr. David Duncan Back, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 2, 2020. Mr. Back was born in Somerset, KY on November 5, 1946. Mr. Back was a member of the United States Air Force, as well as a member of Expressway Church of Christ. Among those who preceded him in death include his father and mother, Ralph Back and Hazel Back Schaffer; sister, Brenda Poore; and stepfather, Lloyd Schaffer. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Nancy Back; children, Heather Dollar (James), Holly Kelley (Sean), and Heath Back (Valerie); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Dillon, Jesse, Natalie, Seanna, Amelia, James, Luke, Summer, and Autumn; sister, Marilyn Cross (Don); father-in-law, Charles Leber; and a host of other dear family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 6, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until the service at 10:00 pm at the funeral home.
