David Alan Sandefur went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2024. He was born in Louisville, KY at St. Joseph Hospital on November 21, 1969, to William (Bill) Sandefur and Wilma Sandefur. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats and Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed spending time outside hunting and fishing. David also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He worked as a respiratory therapist at Frankfort Regional Medical Center doing sleep studies.
He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Sharon Sandefur of Coxs Creek.
He is survived by his mother, Wilma Sandefur of Coxs Creek, his brother, Darrell Sandefur (Leslie) of Shepherdsville, his 2 daughters, Ciara Sandefur (Justin Burton) of Coxs Creek, and Dawn Prater (Thomas) of Elizabeth, Indiana, 2 stepdaughters, Hallie Jaggers (Ben) of Louisville, KY and Susan Coblin of Campbellsburg, KY, numerous family, friends, and others that called him Dad, Brother, and Pappy.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 30, 2024 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of his service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
