David Stanton

Mr. David Wayne Stanton, age 56, was welcomed into Heaven by his brother Doug, on Saturday, July 4, 2026. David was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 25, 1969, to Randel Lee Stanton and Connie Elaine (Redmond) Stanton. He was an owner and operator of his own irrigation system company. David was a loving husband and dad, son, papaw, uncle, and friend to many. He enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks play football, Kentucky Wildcats play basketball and football, spending time at Churchill Downs watching the horses, he loved spending time with his family and friends his 3 dogs and his turtle Val, Ruby, Ace and Zippy; he never met a stranger, and he loved all his customers, they meant the world to him. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his brother Doug Stanton, his grandparents Robert and Irene Stanton, James, and Rosetta Redmond.

He leaves to cherish his memories his life partner Dana Newton, sons Warren Stanton, Zachary Stanton (Carlene) Mark Stanton (Tabitha), Bradley Harrison (Alexis), 6 grandchildren, parents Randel Lee and Connie Elaine Stanton, 2 nieces Pashence, Cierra, 2 nephews Jamie, Codey, best friend more like a brother John Kurtz , sister in law Dawn Newton , sister in law Connie Webb along with a host of other dear family, friends and customers.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday July 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper). A Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 12 noon. Cremation to follow.
