Dawn Renea Shofner, age 35, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was born on January 3, 1991, in Louisville, Kentucky to Scott and Kathy Shofner. Dawn was a loner; she enjoyed being by herself. She also enjoyed reading. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Dawn was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Shofner and grandparents, Terry Shofner, Christine Shofner and Ronald Johnston.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her parents, Scott and Kathy Shofner; children, Matthew Shofner and Hannah Shofner; sister, Elizabeth Dunn (Tommy, Sr.); brother, Jeremy Shofner (Heather) and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
