Deborah Louise Brown

Mrs. Deborah Louise Brown, age 61, of Shepherdsville returned to her Heavenly Father on February 1, 2019. Mrs. Brown was born on February 14, 1957 in Louisville.  For the last three and a half years, Mrs. Brown bravely fought pancreatic cancer, always with an outward smile and never with a complaint.  She loved her grandchildren wholeheartedly and attended all of their many extracurricular activities.  She enjoyed shopping for bargains and tending to others.  Debbie loved going on vacations and spending time with her family.  She made sure that each person had their own comfort food every holiday and she was the ultimate entertainer.  She was the glue that kept everyone and everything together. 

Among those that preceded her in death are her father, Charles McDowell.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 44 years, Donald Brown; children, Jeremie Brown (Angie), Jonathan Brown (Heather), Christopher Brown (Jennifer); grandchildren, Breanna, Mackenzie, Peyton, Cameron, Brayden, Madalynn, Jaxon, Khloe, Brandon and Brianna; great-grandson, James; mother, Beatrice (Porter) McDowell; brother, Michael McDowell (Jan); and sister, Karen McCollum.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 11 am until 8 pm and Tuesday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
