Dennis M. King, Sr.

Mr. Dennis Michael (Mickey) King, Sr., age 71, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Mr. King was born on June 25, 1951 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Odus G. King and Mary Lucille Cusick.

He graduated from Ahrens Trade High School in 1970 and attended some college at the University of Louisville.

He retired from Innovation Industries in Russellville, Arkansas in 2013 after 21 years of service and prior to that, was employed at Armor Elevator Company in Louisville, KY for 21 years, in the Engineering Departments.  

He was preceded in death by his siblings, James (Sonny) King, Emma (Sissy) Nierengarden, Marvin King, Evelyn Baxter, Brenda Hardin and Thomas (Jerry) King.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha (Rob) Merker; son, Denny King (Lisa); grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tyler and Kara Merker; sister, Carol Bommersbach; several nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 14, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of his service at 10am at the funeral home.
