Dennis Martin

Mr. Dennis Martin, age 81, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 22, 2025.   Mr. Martin was born in Millstone, KY on February 18, 1944, to the late Sheridan Martin Sr and Alma Hickman Martin. He was an Army veteran and a retiree from FORD. He was an avid volunteer fire fighter, with over 60 years of service. 

He is preceded in death by parents, Sheridan and Alma; daughter, Melissa Dawn Martin; sister, Leatrice Martin Reedy; brother, Archie Martin; and grandsons, Christopher Lee Martin and John Ross Burgess.

 He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Donna Stottman Martin; children, Tina Gale Embry, Nikki Hellman (Jamie), Charles Christopher Martin (Claire), C J Dachille (Matt), Becca Martin (Austin), Stephanie Stout, and Stephen Stout (Jessica); grandchildren, Nick (Carmela), Lori, Celesta (Caitlin), Michael, Jaleigh, Natalie, Clara, Seth, Landon, and Leon; great-grandchild, Eli; 9 siblings and a host of extended family and friends. 

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 am on Monday, March 3, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.  Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 12 pm until 8 pm and on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
