
Donald Saylor, a beloved friend and vibrant soul, passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of 78 leaving behind a legacy of laughter, friendship, and a life well-lived.
Don was known for his deep love of good times, great friends, and the thrill of the nightlife. He lit up every room he entered and made sure those around him were always smiling. His passion for Corvettes was unmatched-there was rarely a weekend he wasn't behind the wheel, cruising with pride and joy. He will be remembered for his generous heart, adventurous spirit, and the countless memories shared with those lucky enough to know him. Don lived life on his own terms, full throttle and with style.
He was preceded in death by his parents, late wife Geraldine Saylor, sister Carla Martin.
Don is survived by his two daughters Dawn Shaw (Kevin), Lisa Kramer (Matt), three grandchildren D.J. Norris, Shelby Norris, Paige Shaw, brother Barry Saylor, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
A celebration of Don's life will be held on Friday May 16, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway, Brooks, Ky. With burial in Brookland Cemetery to follow. In honor of his memory, the family encourages friends to share their stories, raise a glass, and remember the good times they were able to share with him.
