Donna Kaye Cook, age 68, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 17, 2026. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Perry Leo Cook and Laura Mae (Nations) Cook. Donna was a receptionist for WIT “Whatever It Takes Transmission Parts, Inc., she was a loving and kind mom, sister, aunt, and friend. Donna enjoyed getting up in the morning and drinking her coffee, reading books especially Mystery Novels, she liked working outside growing flowers like her Lilies and Orchids. She also use to take trips to New Orleans, and Charleston S.C. where many good times were had. Also, Donna took trips to her brother Perry’s Lake House on Baron River Lake. Donna had many wonderful friends, and she was always extending love and kindness to her son’s teammates from his football team at Bullitt Central. She wasn’t just his mom she was all their mom’s. Donna also had a fur baby Cat named Sugar, and her son’s Dog Roscoe whom she loved dearly. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Steven Cook, Timothy Cook, and Dennis Cook.
Donna leaves to cherish her memories her son Chase Sadler, brother Perry Cook, numerous nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway, 40165). A Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, September 26, 2026, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon. With burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
