Doris loved and adored her children; they were her everything. In the time she shared with family, her presence was felt in simple, meaningful ways, spending time together, going out to eat, and gathering around the comfort of a home-cooked meal which she enjoyed.
For 50 years, Doris served as a nursing assistant, a role through which she was able to provide the utmost care for her patients. Her long dedication reflected a life of quiet strength, compassion, and constancy—qualities that touched many and will continue to be honored by all who knew her.
Doris will be remembered with gratitude and respect, and her legacy will live on in the family she cherished and the care she so faithfully gave throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving children, Dawn Dutschke (Tom), Angela Aldridge (Henry), Michelle Underwood (Scott) Carl Hall, and Gene “Ducky” Hall III; a stepson, Gene Hall Jr.; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Gene Hall Sr., a brother Johnny White, and her sister Sally Baldino.
Funeral services will be at 10 am on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, (4895 N. Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville) with cremation to follow.
