Dorothy Helen Day

Mrs. Dorothy Helen Day, age 92, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. Mrs. Day was born in Louisville on February 24, 1928 to the late John Eiler and Mary Etta Eiler. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a Kentucky Colonel.

Her husband of 60 years, Norman Jean Day and her son, Phillip Matthew Day preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Stephen Michael Day (Mary Jean); grandchildren, Stephanie Michele Wells (Devin) and Adam Harrison Day; great-grandchildren, Taylor Inez Raney and Jon William Raney; great-great granddaughter, Elena Harper Allen and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2020 at St. Michael Cemetery (1153 Charles St., Louisville).
