Dorothy Foster

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Foster, age 97, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on April 13, 2026, with her family by her side. Dorothy was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, on March 9, 1929, to the late Beckham and Geneva (Brown) Simpson. She worked as an assembler at General Electric for 35 years. Dorothy enjoyed working in her flower gardens, she enjoyed going out shopping most days, loved traveling to Las Vegas for nights out playing slots. She was a loving and kind mother, sister, nanny, and great-great Nanny. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby J. Foster, her parents, siblings Denver Simpson, Hulen Simpson, Claude Simpson, Loren Simpson, Faye Crews, Jack Simpson, Bennie Simpson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Karen Fox (Jim), 2 grandsons Scott Weickel (Stacie), Jason Fox (Jennifer), 3 great-grandchildren Brandon Fox, Kassidy Fox, Nolan Fox, Teagan Pappono, Brennon Pappono, great-great-grandchild Aria Fox, brother Donald simpson, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home on Saturday April 25, 2026, at 12 noon. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
