Douglas Arnold McCarty, Jr.

Mr. Douglas Arnold McCarty, Jr, age 46, of Okolona, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Mr. McCarty was born on June 19, 1975 to Viola Christine “Ginger” McCarty (Lutz) and the late Douglas Arnold McCarty, Sr. in Okolona, Kentucky. He was part of the UAW and worked for 5 years at KTP Ford Motor Company and 12 years as a custodian for the Christ Church United Methodist. Mr. McCarty was a family man who loved his family and made a huge impact on peoples’ lives. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and all things Halloween. He is preceded in death by his father.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 17 years, Kitty McCarty (Lyons); daughter, Courtney McCarty (Ethan); son, Riley McCarty; mother, Ginger McCarty; sisters, Alicia Fawbush, Valerie Quarfeld; brother, Chris Nevitt (Sandra); sister, Tracy Quire (PeeWee); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
