Douglas Ray McCrary

Mr. Douglas Ray McCrary, age 66, of Lebanon Junction, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Mr. McCrary was born in Grayson County, KY on May 21, 1957 to the late Virginia and Homer McCrary, was a member of Thixton Lane Baptist Church, he was a very hard worker and was employed by Seller’s Hardware, spent 30 years at Ford Motor Company (retired in 2007) and spent the last several years with Brooks Elementary. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and participated in several UAW Bass Tournaments. 

In addition to his parents, his sisters, Wanda McCrary, Lodene Johnson and Eileen Hack preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Sue McCrary who he married July 17, 1976; son, William “Bill” Ray McCrary; siblings, Deward Hack, Christine Smith, Denver Hack, Donald Hack, Hobert McCrary, Wilma Clark and Larry McCrary; siblings-in-law, Lisa Newport, Jimmy Simpson and Vikki Doyle; a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday from 11:30am until the time of service at 1:30pm at the funeral home.
