Edward Lee Sears

Mr. Edward Lee Sears, age 94, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, May 2, 2022.   Mr. Sears was born in Todd County, KY on April 18, 1928, to the late Guy Sears and Gola Settle Sears.

He was a founding member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and the oldest living member of the Bullitt Lodge #155 F&AM, having been a member for 67 years.  

    Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Edith Sears; brothers, Shelby Sears, James Sears, Clayton Sears and Wendell Sears; sisters, Ermma Sears, Sylvia Latham, Maulta Moore and a great grandson, Mason Ward.

    He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Anthony Sears (Debbie) and Clinton Sears (Gail); three daughters, Sherry Dale (Landy), Brenda Sears and Gail Atwood (George); eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

    Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Friday, May 6, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in the Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 4 pm until 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
