Elsie was born to Tip and Dora Scalf on November 3, 1934 in Artemus, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents Dora and Tip Scalf, sisters Edna, Mary, Vivian, Beulah, and her husband George Campbell.
She is survived by her three children, Randy Campbell, Larry Campbell, and Kimberly Tronzo as well as her many grand, great- grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
Elsie was the definition of selfless, loving, and hardworking. She was known to make a meal too big and offer a helping hand whenever she could.
Gratitude is extended to hospice and her caregivers Ashley White, Candace Kidd and Makayla Logue.
Visitation will take place at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, Kentucky) on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 3 pm till 8 pm.
Funeral services will take place at Hopper Funeral Home (302 North Broadway, Barbourville, Kentucky, 40906) at 1pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 with a visitation from 11am till the time of service at 1 pm with burial to follow at Barbourville Cemetery.
