Emma Jean Karcher McDonald

Emma Jean Karcher McDonald, age 80, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 31, 2023.  She was born in Jefferson County, KY on August 30, 1942, to the late Henry Karcher and Selma Marion Froess Karcher. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James McDonald; daughter, Tina Coy; stepdaughter, Melinda Brightwell (Mike). Stepson, Brennan Scott McDonald; grandchildren, Amber Courtney (Brian), Austin Coy (Heather), Ashley Coy, April Underwood (Donnie) Johnna Wimsatt, Brittany Wimsatt, Darian McDonald (James) and Delaney McDonald; great grandchildren, Miyah, Maliah, Makinley, Malaki, L.A., Aubrey, Nolan, Alyssa, Kolton, Ryan, Jaden and Hallie; brother, John Karcher; sister, Patricia Burton and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 10 am until time of the service at the funeral home.
