Ethan Thomas Suddeth, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, June 5, 2026 at the tender age of 24. Ethan was born in Louisville, KY on April 4, 2002. There are no words that can truly capture the loss of Ethan. He was deeply loved and will be missed more than can ever express.
Ethan’s faith was at the center of who he was. He was very devout, loved God and had an incredible passion for learning about Scripture. He even taught himself Aramaic so he could study and translate the Bible.
Ethan found peace in the outdoors, especially hiking and camping under the stars. He also found beauty and perspective through music, reading and through the study of history and philosophy.
He was intelligent and hardworking. He earned his LPN certification and was pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Analytics. In school and out of school, he was endlessly curious and loved learning new things. Family and friends knew him as the "fun fact" guy because he was always ready with an interesting piece of random information.
Ethan will be remembered for the way he lit up a room, his kind smile, his pure heart, the love he had for everyone in his life, his sense of humor, his curiosity, his practicality, his faith, and his connection with his nieces and nephews.
Among those who preceded him in death are, his great-grandparents, Leonard and Loraine Dever and Charles and Katherine Suddeth; paternal grandfather, Charles Suddeth and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Pauline White.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Tina Suddeth; his loving father, Thomas Suddeth; siblings, Alexa Marin and Isabella Suddeth; nieces and nephews, Eva Marin, Daniel Marin, Yoalli Carbajal, Gabriel Carbajal, Amari Suddeth; paternal grandmother, Mary Taylor; aunts and uncles, Eric Suddeth, Charles White and Marian Foster; his aunt and uncle by heart, Ray and Ida Pizarro; a host of cousins and other dear family and friends.
Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Saturday, June 13, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of his service at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held privately at a later date at his family cemetery.
