She was a woman of strong Christian faith and lived her life with kindness and compassion. She retired from Norton Hospital after more than 20 years in Environmental Services, where she took pride in her work and the friendships she made along the way. She had a remarkable talent for baking and found great joy in creating beautiful cakes to celebrate the special moments in the lives of family and friends. Nothing made her happier than seeing the smiles her creations brought to others. She was also a devoted fan of Conway Twitty and rarely missed an opportunity to attend one of his concerts when he performed nearby.
More than anything, she loved her family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who was always there with love, encouragement, and a warm heart.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Carrine Scott Sr.; son, Richard E. Bell and sister, Mildred Phipps preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Susan “Sue” Pike and William David Bell; grandchildren, John Pike, James Bell, Katie Bell-Danes, Ricky Bell Jr. and Kelly Durst; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Clara Gulley and a host of other dear family and friends.
