Eva Lee Sego, age, 87 of Louisville Kentucky entered a perfect rest while surrounded by her family with singing and love on the Lord’s Day, September 28, 2025. She was born on December 3, 1937, in Edmonson County to the late Elbert and Mossi Davis (Stice). She grew up, singing the praises of God with her family as a child and all through the years of her life, passing the gift down to her boys, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. At age 11, she knelt at an old-time altar at Fairview United Baptist Church where the Lord saved her soul. She cherished her life as a homemaker, raising her boys and experiencing the joys of life with her first and only love, Herman, as they faithfully served the Lord together side by side. The legacy Eva Lee leaves behind was an example to all as she walked in the old paths and truly found rest for her soul. She was a devoted member of Fairdale United Baptist Church where countless times her gift to help those seeking the Lord at the altar of prayer was shown. The Spirit of the Lord often filled the church as she sang and started clapping her hands while shouting the praises of God as she walked to and fro in the altar. Although it grieves our heart to know she is no longer with us, we know she did not dread the trip home as the angels carried her soul to rest where she will peacefully wait for the trump of God. She truly enjoyed living a long life full of the Lord’s blessings; however, she knew the best was yet to come.
She is preceded in death by all of her siblings; Lowell, Outher, Lola, Lonnie, Herbert, Howard, Bonnie, and Cora; A daughter-in-law, Leveda; and 2 great-grandsons, Draven Hughes and Laken Keown
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 71 years, Herman; her children, Michael (Terri), Barry, Carey (Sherry), and Ryan (Jennifer); grandchildren, Tabitha Hughes (Chris), Shaina Alvey (Josh), Brent (Jessica), Blake (Heather), Kayla Blondin (Devin), Anthony, Kara Keown (Cody), Mackenzie, Dalton (Madison), and Grayson; 19 great-grandchildren as well as a host of other dear family and friends.
