Everett Lee Stone

Mr. Everett Lee Stone, age 81 of Shively, returned to his Heavenly Father on March 6, 2018. Mr. Stone was born on January 25, 1937 in Gays, Illinois. He was married to the love of his life, Carlene Stone for 57 years. He served his country in the United States Navy. Everett Stone was known as a loving, patience and peaceful man who loved sitting in his backyard and chasing off the squirrels.

Mr. Stone is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lena (Thomason) Underwood.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carlene (Russell) Stone; son, Joe Stone (Debbie); grandchildren, Aaron Stone, Mitchell, Denver, and August Allgood; great grandson, Damion Fluhr; stepbrother, Ben Underwood; and former daughter –in-law , Billie Jo Stone; cousins, Roger Richardson Lois Martin; and nephew, Bruce Russell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy) with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. www.subfuneralhome.com
