

Garland D. Conn, age 92, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, January 26, 2026. He was born in Dana, Kentucky on Wednesday, September 20, 1933, to the late Delzie and Goldie Mae Conn.
Garland was a Baptist by faith and a member of Summit Hills Baptist Church. He was a man of great faith and pride. He honorably served in the Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. After retirement Garland became involved in the Joy Group for seniors as the “Unofficial Coffeemaker”. He liked to regularly attend City Council meetings, taking pride in his community.
Garland enjoyed working outdoors, gardening and landscaping; he was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors. He loved his family and to Garland family was everything. A man of great faith, pride and love, who will be greatly missed by his loving family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Emma Lou Akers, Linzie L. Conn, and Bascom Conn, his daughters, Nancy Ballard, and Joy Hibdon.
He is survived by his loving wife Ann Conn; his children, Danny Conn (Neda), Teresa Hagerman, and Jeff Hagerman (Debbie); 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Hubert Conn and Linzie Jr. (Sandra); a dear niece, Trish Akers along with a host of dear family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 2 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, 285 N. Preston Hwy, in Shepherdsville. Michael Wyndham officiating and burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 10 am till the time of service at 2 pm.
