Gary Wayne Burns

Gary Wayne Burns, age 65, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 12, 2025.   He was born in Louisville, KY on January 25, 1960. He was a retired Carpenter for TA Construction and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and June “McKinley” Burns; brothers, Jimmy and Bobby Burns; sister, Patricia Nall. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cheryl Burns; daughters, Stephanie England (Jamie), Kerri Bean-Sanders (Scotty) and Laurie Bean; four sisters, Debbie Durrett (Carlos), Sandy McIntosh (Randy), Terri Salvage and Lisa Blankenship; eight grandchildren, Alexis, Halee, Jordan, Jayden, Brandon, Abby, Riley and Tristan; companion, Shadow: and a host of family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with cremation to follow. Visitation will be Thursday 12 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
