Gene Marie Tate

Gene Marie Tate, age 87, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.  Gene was born in Beaumont, Texas on August 22, 1933 to Ernest and Ima “Boone” Woods. She is preceded in death by her son, David Tate, and her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Alfred Tate; daughter-in-law, Lori Tate; grandchildren, Hannah and Nicholas with his wife Brittany; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Monday from 6pm until 8pm and on Tuesday from 12pm until time of service at the funeral home.
