

Geraldine Moran, age 76, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky went home to her Heavenly home on April 24, 2025. Geri was born June 9, 1948, in Pike County Kentucky to the late Garland Ratliff and Eliza “Castle” Ratliff. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elster Castle and a sister, Rebecca Cuddy. Geri is survived by her husband, Kreil Moran; two daughters, Elizabeth Duty (Rick) of Pikeville, Kentucky and Amie Barnes (Danny) of Louisville; three sons, James Calhoun of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Jacob Moran of Louisville and Joshua Bradshaw (Wallace) of Louisville; five grandsons; two granddaughters; two great grandsons and two great granddaughters; two brothers, Garland Ratliff Jr. (Nancy) and Eugene Ratliff both of Jenkins Kentucky. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews with whom will miss her greatly. Geri was a member of the Highland Park First Baptist Church. Singing in the choir and serving the Lord were her greatest pleasures for many years. She went on two mission trips. One mission trip to Malawi, Africa, and Israel to help spread the word of our Lord Jesus Christ. Geri’s pastimes included following her beloved Kentucky Wildcats. She attended many basketball games over the years and was always ready for a “Discussion” about the Wildcats. Geri was also the best cook for her family and friends. She cooked large family meals and cooked for her church family. Geri loved to sew, cross stitch and embroidery. Geri’s god given talents will be missed by a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, May 1st, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 1p.m. until 8p.m. and on Thursday from 9a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
