Mr. Harold Murrell, age 70, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 9, 2026. He was born on September 19, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Stanton and Dorothy Murrell.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Ginger Murrell and his daughter, Sandra Murrell.
If you knew Harold, you knew he was quite the jokester. He loved a good prank and always enjoyed a good laugh. He was a die hard fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals and the Cincinnati Bengals. He also enjoyed horse racing and keeping up with just about any sport. Harold was a well respected glazier who took pride in his work in the glass working industry.
Above all else, Harold loved his family. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with his children and grandchildren. He treasured the moments they shared and the memories they made together. His humor and love, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Harold leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Casey Bannon (Beaver) and Ashley Murrell, his son, Devon Murrell (Janessa), his beloved grandchildren, Noel Bannon, Luke Bannon, Kendall Lapradd, and Ginger Mae, who is on the way. His sisters, Peggy Harms (Alan) and Patti Heinz (Wally), and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial to follow in Hebron Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
