Ms. Helene Marie Newman, age 84, of Shepherdsville, entered eternal life surrounded by all of her children and grandchildren on Sunday, November 1, 2026. Ms. Newman was born in Louisville, KY on May 15, 1942 to the late Andy Lee Hurt and Lillian Marie Hurt. She loved crafts, participating in craft shows and found so much joy in tending to her plants.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Alan Coy, Stephanie Coy and Robin Coy; grandchildren, Matthew Seay, Norah Coy, Sarah Aljazeily, Adam Aljazeily and Sammy Aljazeily; sister, Suzanne (Hurt) Borrell; niece, Linsey Borrell; great-nephew, Brayden Borrell and a host of other dear family and friends.
Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home has been entrusted with her services. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
