Howard "Ray" "Mudman" Mudd

Mr. Ray Mudd, age 71, of Louisville, Ky passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at his home. Ray (Aka Mudman) was a graduate of Western High School, and an Army Veteran. He was an employee of General Electric for 27 years, and he loved his sharp looking newly remodled 86 Chevy Truck.

Most of all, Ray was a very proud father, he always said that was his purpose in life. As his son, this void will never heal, but knowing the love he showed, and the lessons taught were true to the core they will be a forever lasting memory. I love you Pop’s! Ray was also not shy to showing his life partner Kim Sweeney how much he loved her, you were definitely his lady!

Among those who preceded him in death are his father Alfred Mudd, and his grandson Brandon Mudd.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Charlie Mudd (Jessica), Paige Sutton; life partner of 21 years Kim Sweeney; Ren’e Fulton (Jeremy); Cyrena Haynes, granddaughter Brooke Meadors, great- grandson Kaiden Meadors; 1 brother; 4 sisters; Mother Nellie Mudd; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation service will be held at 4 pm until 8 pm on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Memorial Contributions in his memory may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
