Ivey David Knight

Ivey David “Sgt KID” Knight,72, of Hillview returned to his heavenly father on January 18, 2019. Mr. Knight was born on April 21, 1946 in Alabama to the late Ive and Matilda Knight. He retired from NW Mechanical and was a member of Faith Praise and Worship Center and a Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Rose and Brittany.  He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary “Thomas” Knight; 5 daughters, Sheila Chambers (Zack), Melissa Knight, Ivy Knight, Wendy Jones (Terry), and Esther Knight; 2 sons, Anthony Knight and Eric Knight; grandchildren, Nina, Joseph, Audrey, Serina, Autumn, Samantha, Kristen, April, Amber, Ariel, Aniyah, Davien, Kendalyn and Skylah ; great-grandchildren, Landon, Koralynn, Kaiser, Lydia, Layton, Ezra and Damon and one sister; Linda Thompson (Roger). Funeral Services will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
