James Richard Baxter Sr.

James Richard Baxter Sr. was born June 11, 1948 in Louisville Ky and he was called home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2026. He is reunited with his loving wife Susie Baxter whom he couldn’t live without, his parents, Frank & Mary Baxter and his brother, Johnny Baxter.

James was a follower of Christ throughout his whole life. He could easily quote a scripture off the top of his head. He was an amazing devoted dad and pawpaw, he took a lot of pride in being the family protector & the go to person when it came to needing any knowledge. He was a hard working man since a young age, he even served some time in the army. James was a very well known man here on earth, it was rare if he went anywhere & someone didn’t know him.

Though our hearts are broken, we have to find comfort in knowing that his stories, lessons, and love will live on forever in the hearts of his children and grandchildren and he is happily side by side with the love of his life again in the presence of the Almighty.

James is survived by his 4 children, Delmar Baxter, Sheree Baxter, James Baxter Jr (Tobey), and Julie Sanchez (Angel), his 9 grandchildren; Matthew, Johnny, Justin, Anthony, Ali, Marissa, Huda, Angel Jr, and Arianna; his 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren; his sister, Hallie Kidwell along with a host of friends.
