James "Eric" Cook

Mr. James “Eric” Cook, age 58, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Eric was born in Louisville, KY on September 6, 1963, to Russell Howard Cook, and Pat Ann (Cook) Bogard. Eric was self-employed in the Heating and Air Conditioning business, he was a die-hard Kentucky Fan, he loved the original Washington Red Skins football team now the Washington Commanders, he also was excellent in golfing, but most of all he loved being a grandpa and a second father to his two bonus daughters.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, and by his daughter Erica Kaye Cook.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Russell Cook, Pat Bogard (Don), granddaughter Lilly Coffman, grandson, Landon Cook; his three brothers, Mark Cook, Rodney P. Cook, (Misty), Russell R. Cook, (Rhonda); his significant other Janis Sultzer, two bonus daughters, Miranda Sultzer, and Alexa Sultzer, his bonus grandchildren, Zaccheus, Zaydin, Zacari, Zaliyah, and Zakiya Howard; along with a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at (Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home) at the corner of Preston and John Harper Hwy. Visitation will be held Monday August 8, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
