James Russell Harris

Mr. James Russell Harris, age 72, of Louisville KY, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021. James was born in Louisville, KY on October 12, 1948, to the late Johnny Harris and Lucille “Biggers” Harris. James was a self- employed landscaper and enjoyed his coffee and solitude.

Among those who preceded him in death are his parents; 6 brothers, Little Johnny Harris, Larry Harris, Marvin Harris, Darrell Harris, Jerry Harris, and Ernie Harris; 2 sisters Rosie Hester, Debbie Dowell.

He leaves to cherish his memory 4 sisters, Deloris Hunt, Janie Aldridge (Monty), Lillie Jessie (William), Dottie Moore (James); 2 brothers Michael Harris, and Terry Harris; along with many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 1: 00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, July 30, 2021, in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home. With burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery, Shepherdsville KY.
