James Hellman, age 80, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 26, 2021. He was a self employed painter and was a member of North Bullitt Christian Church. James was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 16, 1941, to the late Joseph and Emily Hellman. He is preceded in death by his parents; his step mother, Rosella; two brothers; Joe and Gary Hellman. James leaves to cherish his memory his wife Linda Davis Hellman of 60 years; children, Missy Blain (Gerald), Jamie Hellman (Nikki); sisters, Joan Ash, Rose Ann Woulfe (Chris) ; brothers, Terry Hellman (Sharon), Ricky Hellman and Junie Lorsch; eight grandchildren, Jake, Austin, Emily, Ashley, Celesta, Taylor, Gavin and Jordan; and a host of friends survive. Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Monday, January 3, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Sunday from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Monday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
