James "Jayme" Kenneth Curtis

Mr. James “Jayme” Kenneth Curtis, age 26, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on September 12, 2022. He was born in Burlington, North Carolina on March 14, 1996. Jayme worked as a registered nurse for Robley Rex Veterans Hospital. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers, Thomas Coleman and Kenneth Curtis.

Jayme loved football and baseball. His favorite football team was the Washington Commanders. His love of baseball had him playing from the time he woke up to the time he went to bed; he would play shortstop and pitcher. Jayme loved spending time with his friends whether it be watching football or just going on adventures. He was a generous and loving man who brightened the lives of those he met. Jayme will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Russell and Patricia Curtis; brothers, Nicholas Curtis, Joshua Coleman; maternal grandmothers, Bonnie Deppert and Patricia Curtis; and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 12:00pm Noon in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service at 12:00Noon.
