James "Jim" Franklin Clark

Mr. James “Jim” Franklin Clark, age 78, of Hillview, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. He was born on March 22, 1945 in Marion County, Kentucky to the late Louis Franklin and Lula Mae Clark. Mr. Clark worked as a mechanic for 43 years for Greyhound Transportation. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine Lee Clark; sister, Virginia Clark; brother, Joe Clark; and ex mother-in-law, Carolyn Clark. 

Jim served in the United States Army as a Green Beret. During the holidays, Jim would take the troops from Fort Knox to visit their families. His hobbies included bowling, softball, and basketball. He helped his son-in-law, Tristan coach bowling for children. Jim also spent a lot of his time helping with Big Brother Big Sister and the Cabbage Patch Settlement House.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Robert Sturgeon, Kim Talbot (Tristan), Angel Moock (Steve), Tammy Yount (Red), Tonya Clark and Bill Wright; grandchildren, Christy, Jimmy, Kayla, Kara, Aaron, Bryson and Amber; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Tommy Clark, Barbara Heuke, Adrian Clark, Kenny Clark, Paulette Craven; a grand dog and a grand cat.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm.
