James "Jimmy" Edward Newman Jr.

Mr. James “Jimmy” Edward Newman Jr., age 68, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Mr. Newman was born in Louisville, KY on June 28, 1952 to the late James Newman Sr. and Bernita DeLois Newman. He Baptist by faith and he was employed by Audubon Hospital.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his sister, Brenda Devers and niece, Connie Sage.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Tiffany Richard (Nathan) and Michael Nalley (Amanda); 3 grandchildren; brothers, Clarence Newman (Catherine) and Marvin Newman (Debra); brother-in-law, John Devers; his best friend, Joe Stewart and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday, March 14 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, on Monday, March 15 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
