Mr. James Christopher Purvis age 53, of Louisville, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 25, 2022. He was born on Thursday, February 7, 1969. He was preceded in death by his father, Melton Purvis.
He was a Christian by faith and a 1987 graduate of Southern High School. He enjoyed motorcycles, playing pool and was very big hearted.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Wanda Purvis; his siblings, Sherry Marxen and Charles Thompson (Lisa); his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Brady (Brandon), Jeremy Thompson and Jennifer Hickman; along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial Monday at 10am in Resthaven Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday 1pm until 3pm.
