James "Jimmy" Riggs

James "Jimmy" R. Riggs age 74 of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on October 15, 2015. Among those whom preceded him in death are his parents Frank and Ada Riggs; 4 sisters; 6 brothers. Mr. Riggs was a retiree of General Electric and a faithful member of Little Flock Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years Brenda Riggs; sons, Tim and Jeff Riggs; daughter Sheila Johnson (Nate); grandchildren, Erica, Nathan, Emily Johnson; sister in laws, Gladys Riggs, Geneva Riggs and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Monday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home Preston Highway with burial In Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday and after 10 a.m. on Monday at Schoppenhorst. Expression of sympathy can be made to American Cancer Society.
