James William Selby

James William Selby age 74 was born June 14, 1940 to the late Finis Earl and Myrtle Samuels Selby and returned to his Heavenly Father April 24, 2015. Mr. Selby was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, a veteran of the US Army and a retired employee of General Electric where he served 32 faithful years.

Among those who preceded him in death include his son-in-law, Don Clark; brother, Neal Selby and his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Patricia Warren Selby; daughters, Dena Clark and Jill Grant (Mark); sisters, Sue Smith, Mary Logsdon, Linda Simmons and Becky Thomas; brother, Dennis Selby; grandchildren, Steven Clark, Paige Maynard, Austin and Rachel Grant; a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 12 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road and use John Harper entrance) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday and after 11 A.M. Tuesday at Schoppenhorst.
